076: Its Never Too Late with Camile Periat

Listen Later

As far as Bikini goes, some women see age as a hindrance to pursuing their dream and breaking records in the sport. On the contrary, aging can be an opportunity to get fitter and stronger than ever before. As a mature athlete, you may have an older face, but not old muscles. Building those muscles can yield both psychological and physical benefits, which you actually need in your reserve for later days.

On today's episode of the Bikini Diaries Podcast, we speak with Camile Petriat. In our conversation, we talk about the perks of being a mature athlete, what kind of a look the industry is looking for, and methods and strategies for having longevity in the sport.

Camile Periat is a retired dental hygienist, personal trainer, business owner. The IFBB Bikini Pro turned pro within two months on her third show. Through her consistency and positive attitude, she has accumulated 6 overall wins including Golden State 2019 where she recently defended her championship. The amazing, beautiful, fun 40-year-old mother is currently prepping for the 2020 Bikini Olympia competition. Camile, together with her fiancé Chris Ellis, owns Santa Cruz Power Fitness, where they help people achieve their health and fitness goals.
