Today I woke up in a bunch of pain. I immediately awoke and turned my Fitbit towards me so that I could glance at the time. It was 2 AM! I was so damn tired, couldn't sleep and I had to be up early, I had to tell myself that things would be okay otherwise my day would already be thwarted! I quickly made the decision to
Overcome the frustration.
Ego - My ego was hurt I couldn't workout I felt weak and let it trickle down into other areas. It created arguments over petty things because it was already just completely ready to defend itself.
Expectation - I expected things to pan out quickly, I also expected things go to smoothly. I expected to have a good day and I expected to keep persistently trying to make it perfect.
Excuse - It made me use excuses like I was above the experience I was trying not to let it affect me so much that it I'm turn affected every single decision and every intention within that decision.
- So what did I do?
I asked myself those questions and I took a step back. I relaxed my mind and allowed my ego the freedom to explain but not the power to control. So take your time. This takes practice. But as I always say, you can lessen the dissonance between what you say and what you do but just focusing each day on something more than you did yesterday.
