Story one covers the case of Brandon Teena, a trans man from Nebraska. Brandon, along with two innocent victims, was brutally murdered for reporting his assault and rape by his two "friends" in one of the most heinous hate crimes in American history.

Story two is the survivor's tale of Terry Jo Duperrault, an 11 year old girl, who was the lone survivor after her entire family was butchered by a seemingly harmless sailor, while the family took their dream vacation on a sail boat in 1961.
