08 - The Art of Jujitsu with Johny Ray Nobles (Coach Mumtaz) from Royce Gracie Dubai
Our 8th episode is on the martial art of Jujitsu, a subject that has really captured my imagination. I believe creativity can be found anywhere, and the more I look at Jujitsu the more creativity within it I discover. I was fortunate enough to have time with 'Coach Mumtaz' from the Royce Gracie academy in Dubai. His experience in martial arts, life and coaching is very unique, and his insights on the creative side of Jujitsu was really inspiring.
An Ex-US Army Ranger that served in the Special Operations unit. Growing up in North Carolina USA, Coach Mumtaz started his martial arts career training Jeet Kune Do and later developed a love for the sweet science of boxing. He is also a 2nd degree Black Belt in Brazilian/Gracie Jiu Jitsu. He has been teaching martial arts for over two decades and has dedicated his life to inspire the younger generations through the way of martial arts.
Coach Mumtaz talks about creativity in Jujitsu, How its intertwined in the martial arts, how he got his black belt, the importance of teaching kids, and much much more.
