Getting sober and then staying sober isn't just a one and done sort of thing. First I had to build a solid foundation in recovery and then I had to learn how to continue to do the work throughout my sobriety even when I felt it would come easy. I never want to go back to the way I used to live and all it would take is a bad decision at the wrong time for me to slip and revert right back into my old ways. It takes work to stay clean and sober but I'm telling you the effort is worth it!
