Society implies that we ‘should’ go to college, get a degree, get a good job, settle down, buy a house, get married and have 2.5 kids.

We may not agree with it BUT we can’t argue that it isn’t implied throughout life.

So when a friend announces she’s getting married or she’s expecting a baby or they have just found their forever home… We can’t help but feel that pull of ‘should I be doing that too?!”
