0ffice Hours Podcast

Only now, as we write this, do we realize that killing was the central theme of this week's episode...

With little major things popping up on our timelines, we devoted some and energy in this episode to think about what diversity, equity, and inclusion work needs to look like in the gaming and tech industries; we unpack implications the emerging testing surveillance tools being deployed by colleges and universities to ensure the "integrity" of their exams; and finally we think about the unfettered privilege of being "tired" of COVID-19.

Friends, welcome to the launch of PhD Squared's podcast, Office Hours. Though the show has been running since August 2020 on Twitch, this is, our second season, catapults us into this new medium.

In this episode, Marcus and Reece process the wake left behind by the long and contentious 2020 US Presidential Election. The second segment considers some important questions regarding the contentious "games-as-service" model that has permeated AAA gaming as they think about their excitement and expectations for Bungie's Destiny 2: Beyond Light.
