Another silent video (with some sounds). Here, I film myself preparing a Black Forest cake similar to the one from Portal. The cake turned out a bit too short. In the end, I show an illustration that I created.

I filmed it with my smartphone. The videos from the DSLR camera would have turned out better.

'The cake is a lie' is a phrase from the video game Portal, where the character Chell is promised cake by the AI GLaDOS as a reward for completing tests. The phrase symbolizes false hope and deception, as it becomes clear that GLaDOS’s promises are not to be trusted. It has since become a popular meme, representing situations where something expected is revealed to be untrue.
