In our very first show, we interview David Ross, CEO Ross Video.
David started in Ross Video in 1991, after graduating as a Computer Engineer. His arrival really transformed the company. In less than 20 years, it has grown from a small company with about 25 employees to a global one with almost 700 people involved that has made 12 acquisitions in the past 7 years. David is also a board member of Invest Ottawa, the 2017 Ottawa CEO of the Year, and just received an honorary doctorate from the University of Ottawa.
We spent around 45 minutes with David where we discussed the challenges and benefits of IP and SDI protocols in Live Production and transmission. He gave some immensely interesting insights into how Broadcasters can really get the most out of their existing infrastructure and what the future holds for IP. He was also kind enough to spend some time discussing what got him to where he is today as a broadcast and media technology stalwart.
