#letstalkbipolar
According to her own words she hasn't been so open speaking about her condition ever before - as she is in this talk. Make sure you listen to Shola's story and her experience of living with bipolar disorder. Diagnosed as a child at the age of 13 - she has been through a lot. Despite her still young age (22), when she is talking to you, one would say her experience would match a life of 80-year old person. She is opening our eyes to mental health stigma and asking just as little as - to be kind, more compassionate with each other, less judgmental and simply more open to understand and accept the fact that each of us are going through tough times at some point in our lives.
We should live by following: "Seek first to understand, then to be understood."
Due to length of the whole conversation it is divided into 2 episodes. Second one is being release in 1 week. Stay tuned. Thank you for your patience ! Now press play.
