A lot of times one of the most simple but most important mistake we make as leaders is leading behind our desk, our email, our phone calls, our voicemails and pretty much everything else in-between. But the best form of communication in leadership is in the eyes. 

Something as simple as greeting someone in the morning everyday and checking in on their drive to work can go a super long way. 

And guess what else happens, you read their physiology , you see their face, and most of the time just by that simple action you can tell who is ready for the day and who is not. 

Don’t lead from your closet, get out and get close to your people virtually or in person.
