When you find out the gender of your baby and become disappointed when it’s not what you hoped for. It’s okay, it happens, it happened to me and this was my take on it.

At some point in the journey of motherhood we are overcome with mommy guilt and we need to realize that it’s okay and we truly are doing the best we can.

Prior to becoming a mother, I had a successful career; work was part of my identity. Post baby, that identity changed and there is a sense of loss in what defines me and who I am. How many of you feel the same?

The 4th Trimester is the loneliest trimester in my experience.

The benefit to being older and pregnant is you are willing to use your voice, stand up for yourself and trust your “mommy” instincts.

For all the mom’s out there that feel alone in their thoughts and in this journey we call motherhood - you are not alone.

I became my own advocate because I was tired of Doctors telling me, “because of your age”.

It’s okay to wait. Not all women in their 40’s need fertility treatments to conceive.
