The federal Appeals Court says the Boston Marathon Bomber did not get a fair penalty hearing because the jury who gave him the death penalty may have been unduly influenced by media in the city 2 years after the attack that murdered 4 people and maimed hundreds. Is it worth putting the survivors through another nightmarish trial in order to give the domestic terrorist the death penalty again?

Travel bans are not helping already pandemic decimated airlines. But neither is the fear of the dreaded middle seat and fully booked flights. Airlines can't break even if they keep a third of their cabin seats empty and they say a mask and washing your hands should be enough on planes where social distancing is just not possible. A move is afoot to retire "The Star-Spangled Banner" as our national anthem because of a line in the poem in which the lyrics of the song are based. Francis Scott Key's poem "The Defence of Fort McHenry" contains the phrase "No refuge could save the hireling and slave, from the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave." Even though that stanza is not included in the anthem, a group of virtue signaling protesters say the song must go. Is dumping "The Star-Spangled Banner" one woke movement too far?
