Today’s reading brings us to 1 Peter 1 one final time, where Peter moves from the wonder of our salvation to the conduct of our lives. Because we have been born again to a living hope, because even angels marvel at this salvation, we are called to prepare our minds for action, set our hope fully on Christ, and live as obedient children before our holy Father.

Peter reminds us that this world is not our home. We are living in exile, waiting for the full revelation of Jesus, but while we wait, we are not called to drift—we are called to holiness. So today, read 1 Peter 1 with fresh eyes and ask the Lord to help you live like an obedient child whose Father is good, holy, and worthy of everything.
