These 3 verses in 1 Peter 1 are considered a doxology, a short hymn of praise to God. This is still the opening of Peter's letter and he uses it to remind the churches that he's writing to who they are now as believers and what God has done for them and will do for them in the future. The hope of the future, for God's people, is a promised inheritance. What exactly is this inheritance? This morning we look at what Peter says about this inheritance, but also what the rest of scripture says.
