What does it mean to be God’s people in a world that rejects us? In 1 Peter 2:1–12, we see four covenant privileges that define our identity in Christ: we are saved by the gospel, built into God’s temple, chosen as priest-kings, and called to live as strangers in this world. When rejection comes, our joy and boldness remain unshaken—because in Christ, we know who we are.
