Application Questions

1. Read 1 Peter 3:1-2, 4. How can a wife's submission to her husband with the gentle and quiet spirit (3:4) result in her husband being won to Christ?

2. Read 1 Peter 3:3 and 1 Timothy 2:9-10. How can a wife know if she has crossed a line in this area and may be too concerned with her outward appearance? How much say should a husband have/exercise in his wife's physical appearance?

3. Read 1 Peter 3:5-6. How would you counsel the wife who is afraid and anxious about decisions her husband is making for the family? She wants to be submissive, but she sees the inevitable consequences that they will suffer for these decisions.

4. Read 1 Peter 3:6. How should a wife who is also a mother balance her submission to her husband alongside her convictions of what is best for her children when those two responsibilities seem to conflict with each other?
