We've got a very helpful study in store for you today from First Samuel. Samuel had been a faithful judge over Israel and God had been nothing but good to his people. But the people of Israel lost sight of that and cried out for a king. They rejected Samuel and the Lord because they wanted to choose their own human ruler, and in doing so were going to have to pay the price.
