This week we will see the Lord establish Saul as the king of Israel. The Ammonites will prepare to attack a city called Jabesh Gilead and as Saul hears of their plans he is empowered by the Spirit to gather the Israelites and then attack them. After this we will see that Samuel begins to step back from his position as judge of Israel.
