One year ago today, on my birthday, Cries of Redemption began. A birthday I once never thought I would live to see.
In this deeply personal anniversary episode, I reflect on the struggles, victories, and spiritual battles that came with sharing the painful parts of my story over this past year. Speaking openly about trauma, shame, suicide, healing, and redemption has never been easy—but God has shown me how even the hardest moments can become weapons for victory and testimonies that help others survive their own battles.
I talk about how the world often sees struggles as failures, while I’ve learned to see them as opportunities for growth, strength, and purpose. I also share why simply being alive is worth celebrating, because for many people, waking up each day is a fight in itself.
Just yesterday, I was reminded again why this podcast matters: people need a safe place to speak up without guilt or shame silencing them. Someone else’s breakthrough may begin with another person’s courage to finally tell the truth.
If you are struggling, discouraged, or wondering whether your life matters, this episode is for you. Don’t give up. You are still here for a reason—and whether you realize it or not, you are winning.
