As we seek to apprentice under Jesus, few would argue that there’s a central role that the Bible plays in that journey. However, while acknowledging that there’s a place for the Bible as we follow Jesus, many people struggle with what that place looks like simultaneously. What role does it play? Can we trust the Bible? What about the hard and confusing stuff? What about the stuff out of alignment with the cultural values in the world around us? What about the stuff we simply don’t like? We’re kicking off this series hoping to answer many of these questions and more. But first, we’re starting with “why” the Bible in the first place?
