Trusting in Jesus is about discovering, experiencing and sharing who Jesus is, the power that he holds and what that means for us. Our journey of discovery is full of fear, faith and doubt, but Jesus is there with us in the midst of it all to bring stability and calm as the Son of God.

Jesus says the Kingdom of God is worth losing everything for… but not everyone agrees. What is the cost of following Jesus? Is it worth it? What is the cost if we don’t?

What do you do when the weeds seem to be growing faster than the wheat? We live in a world where evil is real, brokenness is everywhere, and sometimes it feels like the wrong kingdom is winning. We want God to intervene now. We want the weeds pulled. We want the Kingdom on our timeline. But Jesus tells us the Kingdom doesn’t arrive the way we expect. It starts small, grows slowly, and works beneath the surface. Can we learn to trust the farmer?

Formation is inevitable. Neutrality is an illusion. In this passage, Jesus shows us that we are always being shaped by what we love, who we follow, and where we belong. The question isn’t whether you’re being formed. The question is who or what is forming you?

In this text, Jesus confronts the Pharisees’ refusal to recognize him as King and exposes the heart behind our words, choices, and allegiance. What if one of the greatest threats to following Jesus today is not rejecting him outright— but quietly pledging allegiance to ourselves one response and decision at a time?

“I’m burnt out.” - have you heard those words? Have you used them? We can take a vacation, use our PTO, sleep ten hours, and still be bone-level tired. Jesus offers something deeper than simply taking a break. In Matthew 12, we see the difference between a life driven by religious performance and a life sustained by relationship with Jesus. Religion leaves us constantly needing another push. Jesus offers a source of life that sustains us from the inside out. In the middle of pressure, responsibility, conflict, and even resistance, Jesus invites us to come to him, learn his way, and find rest for our souls.

The invitation from Jesus around His easy yoke is both compelling and confusing. Guest speaker Ashleigh Caudell walks us through Jesus’ invitation to an embodied faith.

What happens when Jesus doesn’t meet our expectations? John the Baptist wrestles with doubt in prison and asks, “Are you the one?” Jesus doesn’t shame his questions—He points John back to who He is and what He came to do. Matthew 11 reminds us that Jesus is a Savior for those who know they need Him.
