After all is said and done, we admit that this episode may be no help to you at all. But we're confident it at least has a lot of entertainment value.

Dealing with a divorce happens in stages, much like dealing with major instances of grief. And you may experience these stages without even recognizing them. The ultimate goal is to achieve acceptance of the situation in order to begin life anew and with a positive outlook.

We understand the perils of disciplining step-children. With five children between us, this was something that was an afterthought to our marriage, and had to be worked out not long after saying, "I do."

As children grow up, their desire to spend time with parents and family wains and is replaced with time with friends and other events. This can be an even harder transition for divorced parents, especially for the non-custodial parent.
