The first myth is believing that only people who have natural talent for speaking can be great content creators. Introverts can learn how to be charismatic on camera; it’s all a matter of practice.
Another myth is that some topics are too boring to talk about. They will not be boring if you blend your own story into the topic. You do this by showing your authentic self and storytelling your own experiences.
Mistakes that creators often make are the following:
1.Making content they want instead of what their audience wants. FIgure out who your audience is and what their problem is, then make content that addresses that problem.
2.Focusing only on ideas instead of strategies for your content. You need a good mix, your content should move people along the path to purchase, and there are strategies for this.
3.Forgetting to tell your story. Start with a hook, get vulnerable, and then find your ending. Spend most of your time on the most important part of the story.
4.Having a weak production structure. The stronger your structure is, the fewer problems you’ll run into
5.Overlooking the right call to action. Make it clear what you want your audience to do.
6.Not having the necessary skills. This is why it’s essential to have a good team. Everyone should know a little bit about everything.
7.Avoiding relevant content. Talking about what’s going on in the news is necessary to stay relevant, but you need to relate it back to your business.
8.Not identifying your goals. From here, reverse engineer to know what you need to be doing now to reach that goal. What do you want to be known for?
9.Failing to plan in advance. Have some kind of strategy in mind before you start recording. Focus on what your hook is.
10.Not starting. Just press record; you already have content to make because you already have a story.
