In the Northern Wei Dynasty, from about 386 to 534 AD, in ancient China, there was a legendary female warrior. She dressed up like a man to take her father’s place in the army, as he was too old to fight. Do you know? Who is she?
传说 在 中国 古代的 北魏 时期 有一位 传奇的 女战士，她 女扮 男装 顶替 年迈的 父亲 从军 打仗。猜一猜，她是谁？
She is Mulan.
他 就是 花木兰。
On July 24, the live-action Disney movie Mulan will open in the US.
7月24日，迪士尼 真人版 电影《花木兰》将在 美国 上映。
This is not the first time Disney has made a movie about Mulan. In 1998, its animated film Mulan was a huge success. It made Mulan one of the most popular Disney princesses. And through the film, many people began to learn about and even fall in love with Chinese culture.
这 已经 不是 迪斯尼 第一次 拍摄 关于 花木兰的 电影了。其 1998年 动画版 的《花木兰》不但 取得了 巨大的 成功，也让 木兰 成为 最受 欢迎的 迪斯尼 公主 之一。并且 通过 这部电影，很多人 开始 了解、甚至 爱上 中国文化。
Mulan catches people’s hearts with her independence and courage.
木兰 以 她的 智勇双全 和 独立自信 深深地 打动了 人们的 心。
In most stories, the princess is always the one who needs to be saved.
在 大多数 传说 故事 中，公主们 总是 那个 需要 被拯救 的人。
But Mulan saves her country and people. She proves that women can be as good as men on the battlefield all.”
但是 花木兰 却与 以往的 公主 形象 不同，她 不但 拯救了 她的 国家 和 人民，而且 还 证明了 在 战场 上 女人 可以 做得 和 男人 一样 好。
As the film says, she shows us that “the flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of them all.
正如 影片中 的 一句 经典 台词 所说，“逆境中 开出的 花 才是 最美 最可贵的。”
So Who plays Mulan?
那么 是 谁 扮演的 木兰 呢？
In the live-action film Mulan, Chinese actress Liu Yifei stars as Mulan. She was chosen from nearly 1,000 women who tried for the role. She is good at martial arts and dancing. Also, she can speak fluent English.
在 真人版 电影《花木兰》中，由 中国 女演员 刘亦菲 饰演 木兰。她是 从 全球 近 1000名候选人 中 被 挑选 出来的。因为 她 不但 擅长 武术 和 舞蹈，而且 还能 讲一口 流利的 英语。
