iCareBetter: Endometriosis Unplugged

#10 Part 1 of Christina's story through childhood chronic illness, bartonellosis, infertility and endometriosis diagnosis

Listen Later

Today we speak with Christina on part 1 of her story, navigating lifelong chronic illness and infection, challenges around fertility; and ultimately, her path to finding herself again.

Christina is an endometriosis patient and budding endo and chronic illness advocate. Christina is taking a much needed break from climbing the corporate ladder as a clinical research professional to work on getting healthy, pain free, and finding herself again.

When she is able to return to her career of 20+ years, Christina hopes to be able to utilize her vast and varied research experience, which includes oncology, pediatrics, neurologic, hepatic, and infectious disease, and shift her focus to women's health, specifically the intersection of endometriosis, rare disease, and pediatrics.

Christina is excited that through her advocacy work, and by delivering successful research for new therapeutics from inception through New Drug Approval (NDA), with the assistance of the teams she manages, she will be able to contribute to the well being of others who are experiencing what can be an isolating and overwhelming diagnosis.
