I watched the film 'About Schmidt' recently.

It's one of my favourites.

A bit of a dark and dry comedy.

It's about a guy played by Jack Nicholson who's about to retire.

Only he finds himself realising he feels like he kind of wasted his life.

Never really took the big risk.

Played the 'safety game'.

And got stuck in middle management without making the true impact he felt like he could have.

Don't get me wrong, there's NOTHING wrong with taking this route.

You can be truly happy.

But, for me, it's one of my greatest fears.

Getting towards the end and thinking... shit!

Anyway, I talk more in the episode about it and the lessons I take from the film.

I talk about...
  • The meaning I take from the film 'About Schmidt'.
  • One of my greatest fears.
  • How I use this to inspire and motivate me.
  • Why it's important to figure out what makes you happy NOW!
  • The act of simply DECIDING to do stuff differently.
  • Why it's important to keep reminding yourself of why you're maybe making sacrifices now.
  • This is one of my favourite films (because of what it makes me think about mainly), so that's why I wanted to share this with you.
