Anastasia describes herself as a citizen of the world. She found herself in Spain when the war broke out in Ukraine and 4 years on, she has navigated personal tragedy and has now made her home in the UK with her 5 children.

There’s a sense of gratitude for the UK’s generosity in giving her a home and in Oxford as a place to volunteer, start a social enterprise and raise a family.

With a Masters in Public Health from Oxford Brookes, Anastasia’s mission is to raise health literacy, stop the spread of misinformation and share her culture so people see Ukrainians as more than simply refugees.
