United States Penitentiary Alcatraz was the perfect place for the most notorious, dangerous and hardened criminals. It was thought to be inescapable... but that didn't stop them from trying. In the 29 years Alcatraz served as a prison, there were 14 escape attempts made by 36 prisoners. Five of them made it out, never to be seen again. Did they drown? Were they eaten alive by man-eating sharks? Or.. did they make it? We'll never know.
In part two, we dive deeper into the Infamous 1962 Escape of Frank Lee Morris and brothers, John and Clarence Anglin. The FBI concluded that the men drowned… but there are many theories about how they could have survived. There might even be evidence!
