The Sadducees come to Jesus with a question about the resurrection. They don’t even believe in a resurrection. They make up a very strange story. Jesus has to school the Sadducees about Scripture, the power of God, and the fact that God is the great “I am”, and that the dead are not dead, but alive. God is not the God of the dead, but the living.
