Even good things need restraint to be great.
Join us as we talk through some of the things NOT to do as a feeler and thinker. As gifted as we may be, and as much as we desire to help others, we have to be sure not to make it about ourselves, even when we intend the opposite.
Welcome to the Conversation.
Why do we lie to ourselves?
Unfortunately there are many reasons and motivations, most of which are rooted in our insecurities and the desire to present ourselves as different than we are. We want to protect ourselves from fully realizing the truth. We have to see how much harm this can do as we drag the weight of our lies around, keeping us bound to the false self.
It's time to get free.
Today's conversation is all about defining what a feeler, thinker, and doer is and how they all tie together.
About a month ago, there was a viral video from the I am athlete podcast where they were talking what type of woman does a man need to be successful. They all mentioned things like her being independent, willing to challenge you, and someone who is strong on their own who can make you stronger together.
So Charles and I saw it and immediately thought of his wife Lindsay. Lindsay is someone embodies all of those traits and more so we knew she was the perfect guest.
Topics like these are never one size fits all so I encourage you to approach it with an open mind. Whether you’re single, dating, or married I believe this will better inform your approach to relationships.
Thank yall for being here and welcome to the conversation.
People pleasing is a gift and a curse. Who knew it could feel so good to put other people before ourselves. Wait..what's the difference between serving and people pleasing? Why do we people please? How can I learn to put myself first?
In this episode, we're getting into all of that. Learning what people pleasing is, can be the first step to overcoming it. We've both struggled with this in the past, but it always ended with us making a fool of ourselves. Take this journey with us so you can find freedom and see how self-love actually better equips you to care for others.
Welcome to the Conversation.
There's something about eating a salad with no dressing that just makes sense. You won't catch us doing that, but it truly is the best way to get the most benefit. The reason for that is because of something called "empty calories". Empty calories come in the form of a whole bunch of things that taste good, but have no nutritional value. In this episode we're taking a dive into our personal lives and how we can find the empty calories that weighing us down (no pun intended).
Welcome to the conversation.
I'm sure you have either heard or used the phrase, "trust the process". This week we will be clarifying what that means so it can go from a cliché to a personal declaration.
For those who have too many gifts or interests and don't know what to decide, this one's for you.
Welcome to the Conversation.
As easy as it is to talk about change, making it happen so much more difficult. When it comes to it, the things we have to give up can look massive relative what we believe will gain. Our challenge in this episode is this, don't be afraid to count the cost.
Welcome to the conversation.
