In this episode I discuss kids and nature. Do you ever bump into those awesome people who know the names of all the birds or insects they see? I often wonder: how did they get this knowledge? How are they so proficient in reading the language of nature? How did these nature-saavy people gain their knowledge about plants and animals? This is a big mystery to me. But, I know one thing for sure – I want my kids to have this rich reservoir of knowledge about plant life, insect life, and animal life before they leave our nest. I believe that our family suffers from nature deficit disorder (who doesn't actually) and I want the cubs to feel super comfortable in nature as if it is their second home. In reality it is our first home and today I want to discuss our family's journey of returning to our natural home on this blue little planet within this huge and magical universe.
