Journeys for Moms

The idea of read alouds has always enchanted me but I never found the time or patience to sit down and read aloud in a consistent manner. I always craved reading to the kids myself and was trying to figure out how to remember to do it daily.

In this episode I share with you my journey from not reading any books out loud to my five kids to reading to them daily - often twice a day.

So, why does your family need family meetings? They are time consuming, everyone is busy, getting everyone to stop what they are doing and come together is tough, you have lived without family meetings forever so why change?

Nature deficit disorder. Its real and its happening in homes all over America. I know one thing for sure – I want my kids to have a rich reservoir of knowledge about plant life, insect life, and animal life before they leave our nest. I want the cubs to feel super comfortable in nature as if it is their second home. In reality it is our first home and today I want to discuss our family’s journey of returning to our natural home on this blue little planet within this huge and magical universe.

After a very long snowy winter, I've decided to embark on a new journey of 100 days of running. The challenges of running while mothering cubs are plenty. How does a mom find the time to run? how does she motivate oneself to run after a long sleepless night? How does a mom persist when everything stands against her in this journey? This and more are discussed in depth.
