Over the next two weeks, the Daily Devo will be focusing on Matthew 5, and more specifically - the BEATITUDES. This section of Matthew 5 comes from a sermon that Jesus gives called the "Sermon on the Mount." Sometimes we misunderstand things we haven't experienced, and righteousness is one of those things. Righteousness can feel like rules that keep us from the fun we might want to have... but once we experience the true life that comes from living life God's way, we won't just want righteousness for ourselves, we'll hunger and thirst for it. Jesus tells us that when we do that, God can't wait to fulfill that desire and hunger in us!
