Welcome to part 2 of the Black Business Spotlight series, where I spotlight small black owned businesses that are making an impact in the community. In this episode, I’m going to be speaking with the founder of the Retreat Maven, Katherine Searcy. 

Katherine, like many others during the pandemic, started a new venture called the Retreat Maven. 

The Retreat Maven was built to create a space for super intentional, socially, environmentally, and spiritually, conscious retreat experiences. 

A little bit more about the founder, Katherine, she is an Intuitive Integration Mentor who is dedicated to seeing women fulfill their vision of freedom and passion. After working as a social worker for 10 years, she quit her healthcare career to create a 6 figure practice/business where she is able to travel, work and play.  

In our conversation we discuss her inspiration for creating the Retreat Maven, dealing with doubts and fear while building a business, taking strategic leaps of faith to pursue a dream or goal, the balance between being spiritual and practical, and finding a mentor.
