Do you love mermaids or are you afraid of mermaids? Does the pull of the deep bring you peace or make you feel abject terror? Could you collect the souls of the dead? Could you? Meet Simi. She is a mermaid that has been tasked to collect the souls of the enslaved who die at sea. Her task is specific and there are rules that must be followed. Until Simi finds someone who isn't just a soul to collect. He is alive. And that is against the rules.
Come on an adventure over and under the sea as Simi struggles with her purpose, her mission and her heart. What happens when the gods don't follow the rules but you must or you will die?
