Squad Goals — A Mass Effect Podcast

#105: The Great Mass Effect Draft and Farewell

Listen Later

Nick, Chip, and Kurabara are back for one final time to look back on the Mass Effect games. They begin by talking about the qualities that make a Mass Effect game to determine if Andromeda met those, as established by the trilogy. They discuss when Andromeda felt like a proper Mass Effect game, and evaluate if it lived up to the legacy of the trilogy.

Then, they discuss the length of the game and how much can be considered filler. They talk about the strength of the game being the characterization of the crew. They also consider the quests available throughout the game and if they were worth the effort. They discuss the evolution of the game world and whether Andromeda was a great game or simply a good game.  They then share their rankings for the four games, and debate whether Andromeda would have been better served with a Paragon/Renegade system.

They then engage in the Mass Effect Draft, drafting teams for an unspecified galactic mission from all possible Mass Effect characters.

Finally, they talk about the end of the show.  Thank you for listening to Squad Goals!
