Every morning I read a page of The Daily Stoic by Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman. Each of the readings has some timeless life advice but every so often one really strikes a chord. That was the case with the passage I read today. It's such a simple concept I believe can have profound effects in day to day life. Instead of thinking of things as "have to's" consider them as "get to's". For example, instead of having to wash the dishes. Consider it as getting to wash the dishes because you had the opportunity to eat off them. Of course, this can relate to anything and everything but I think it's a simple trick to change the way we view things.
