Prescriptive – Attempting to impose rules of correct usage.

Mitigate – Make less severe or painful.
Riot Act – A vigorous reprimand or warning.
Volatile – Reliable to change rapidly and unpredictably, especially for the worse.
Conducive – Making a certain situation or outcome likely or possible.
