Magic Bullet – A medicine or other remedy, especially an undiscovered or hypothetical one, with wonderful or highly specific properties.
Panacea – A solution or remedy for all difficulties or diseases.
Peltzman Effect – A theory which states that people are more likely to engage in risky behavior when security measures have been mandated.
Locus of Control – The degree to which people believe that they have control over the outcome of events in their lives, as opposed to external forces beyond their control.
Self-Actualization – The realization or fulfillment of one's talents and potentialities, especially considered as a drive or need present in everyone.
Deficient – Not having enough of a specified quality or ingredient.
Euphoric – Characterized by or feeling intense excitement and happiness.
Servant Leadership - A leadership philosophy in which the main goal of the leader is to serve.
Diaspora - The dispersion of any people from their original homeland.
“Making Groceries” – The term comes from the Creole French idiomatic expression for shopping for dinner. It can be perceived as doing what it takes to make money and put food on the table.
Abdicate – Fail to fulfill or undertake (a responsibility or duty).
Intrepid – Fearless; adventurous.
T-Shaped Skills – Having a deep (vertical) understanding of your job function or department and also possessing broad knowledge of other teams, departments and how they all affect one another (horizontal).
Monolith – A large and impersonal political, corporate, or social structure regarded as intractably indivisible and uniform.
Accreditation – The action or process of officially recognizing someone as having a particular status or being qualified to perform a particular activity.
Buoy – Cause to become cheerful or confident.
Modalities – A particular mode in which something exists or is experienced or expressed.
Juxtaposing – The fact of two things being seen or placed close together with contrasting effect.
Cognitive Load – The used amount of working memory resources.
