This episode is a solo endeavor where Gerrard gives details of an experience that shaped his understanding of leadership and buoyed his confidence. The capstone course of a two-year MBA program at Northwood University (DeVos Graduate School), was a microcosm of a real-world organization melded into the span of a week; and guess who is the leader?

Poignant – Effective and engaging.
Flabbergasted – Surprised or astonished.
Rigorous – Extremely thorough, exhaustive, or accurate.
Level set – A business term for getting everyone on the same page.
Exude – Strongly display a specific quality or create an atmosphere.
Tenets – A principle or belief, especially one of the main principles of a religion or philosophy.
Fluid Organization – Set of groups that communicate freely amongst each other without walls, silos or impediments to collaboration.
Kowtow – Excessive submission to a power or authority.
Homogenous – The same in constitution or action.
Rapport – A close and harmonious relationship in which the people or groups concerned understand each other's feelings or ideas and communicate well.
Eclectic – Deriving ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources.
Disparaging – Expressing the opinion that something is of little worth; derogatory.
Edifying – enlightening, helpful, encouraging.
Imminent – Looming, forth-coming, about to happen.
Hierarchy – A system or organization in which people or groups are ranked one above the other according to status or authority.
Microcosm – A community, place, or situation regarded as encapsulating in miniature the characteristic qualities or features of something much larger
Cathartic – Providing psychological relief through the open expression of strong emotions; causing catharsis.
Gregarious – Found of company, sociable.
