This morning we discuss the curious, mysterious Mitzvah of Shiluach HaKan, sending away the mother bird. We examine how this Mitzvah fits in to the rest of the commandments in our Parsha (Ki Teitzei), based on Rabbi Aharon Lichtenstein. And we examine the improbable connection between this Mitzvah and honouring parents, based on an emotional insight of Rabbi Zalman Sorotzkin in Aznaim LaTorah.
