This morning we examine an alternate view of the deceit of Rikvah and Yaakov (in Parshat Toldot) in getting the blessing from Yitzchak instead of Esav. According to this reading, Yaakov only later realized he had done wrong, and gave the blessing back to Esav in our Parsha, VaYishlach, and, nonetheless, suffered throughout his life for this mistake. According to this, Yaakov is a role model for when we make a mistake, to take responsibility for it, fix it, and learn from it.
