Kevin Lyman started the Warped Tour to not only get the kids to come see the bands but to allow a space and conversation for social awareness that all adolescents go through. The Warped Tour started in the mid nineties and is still going every summer non stop playing anywhere and everywhere. Kevin is also involved in many other parts of the music business, but the Warped Tour is his baby. Every year he travels with the tour making sure everything is ok for bands and fans. I had the privilege of mixing SNFU on the tour’s first trip to Toronto Canada in 1995. I also had the task of taking a very young Sum 41 all over the east coast in a van on what should have been a tour bus tour. Kevin is a humble down to earth guy and we had a great chat about the new president-elect and the state of touring in the present as apposed to the past.
