This morning we discuss a motif of the Mishkan (Sanctuary built and installed in our Parsha, VaYakhel-Pekudie) - that certain intricate objects must be Miksheh, fabricated from a single block of gold, and not made in components that are later joined. Our rabbis understand this to transmit the message of the unity of the Jewish People, and the commonality we share with all humanity. We explore a dramatic demonstration of this occurring in our day - massive kidney transplant chains.
