This morning we discuss developing the proper attitude for a fantastic, transformative Seder. First, we must recognize our target audience - children (if we are blessed with children at our Seder). Second, we must not be distracted. We share two stories about spilling wine at the Seder (as a metaphor for the cold soup, tough brisket, inattentive children, and all the other peripheral stuff that can go wrong) to guide us to focus on what is really important at the Seder; one story from Rabbi Yitzchak Hutner when wine was spilled on him during the Seder, and another from Rabbi Meilech Biderman about the blessing that comes from spilled wine.
