This morning we discuss the ongoing dilemma in Jewish life between tradition vs. innovation. We present Rabbi Norman Lamm's insight into the requirement in our Parsha that each year the Kohein Gadol on Yom Kippur must wear new garments. This becomes the paradigm for a dual approach to all Jewish life - maintaining traditional practice, but filled and energized by new and creative understanding, expression, and meaning. "Only renewal can guarantee life."
