This morning we discuss the prayer Nacheim we say on Tisha B'Av afternoon, and the clash between its description of Jerusalem and the reality we see today. We explore three approaches to understanding this (Rabbi Chaim Dovid HaLevi, Rabbi Yosef Soloveitchik, and Rabbi Ovadiah Yosef), and present the opposite view of reality expressed in saying Shehecheyanu when seeing Jerusalem instead of tearing Kriah. We detail what we celebrate on Tisha B'Av, amidst the mourning.
