This morning we discuss the controversy over how, and therefore when to commemorate the Holocaust, utilizing the opinions of Rabbi Moshe Feinstein and Emil Fackenheim, who both want to magnify the commemoration, and feel the other is minimizing it. Ultimately, the question is what type or types of heroism do we emphasize. My opinion is multiple types and models of heroism must be honoured, remembered, and commemorated.
