If These Walls Could Talk

11. Union Chapel

Listen Later

For our latest episode, we are taking you to church (quite literally) as we make our first trip to Islington. Here, we will delve into the storied history of a space that is not only a world class music venue that's played host to the likes of Elton John, Björk, Amy Winehouse, Mavis Staples, Nick Cave, Tom Jones, Paul Weller and Philip Glass (to name but a few!) but more importantly - an organization, a philosophy, a congregation that champions an alternative, inclusive & humane gospel. A social justice and arts charity and a venue that has community at its core.

Ladies and gentleman - it gives us tremendous pleasure to welcome you to the Union Chapel.

And to help tell this story, we were very lucky to be joined by Head Of Programming Brett Pracownik, Marketing Manager Beth Sinden and George Allan (Trustee of Friends Of The Union Chapel).

Hosted by Jeremy Newton, produced by Greg Moore.
